about

Discovering the past...to live the present and dream of the future.
Antilabe's second work is the result of extensive and heterogeneous experiences, a dreamlike universe evoking images and sounds, ideas and feelings. Diachronies (from the greek dia-kronos) is a journey through time, to the limits of a fantastic dimension suspended between myth and reality. Being aware that the human-divine antinomy is the effect of the same plan, we have held tightly the "double grip" binding us to the past, retracing the initial paths with the renewed vitality. So twelve stories take shape gradually, new faces recall old feelings, along a path that is first unknown, and then more and more distinct and friendly. As in a timeless labyrinth, venturous flights of fancy try to find an escape route without imposing any truth, in continous search of the old respect: a multiform antilabé that, far from being rhetorical gives, rise to a varied gallery of voices, so distant and so near...

"Listening to the music of Antilabé I did not expect something so important and gratifying: the group is very characterized and capable of beautiful atmospheres very involving, with some references to ethnic groups made in a very skilful and sophisticated way."

Claudio Fasoli (saxophonist and jazz composer - Perigeo)

"Many are the things that bind me to Antilabé, but above all, there is love, passion, fever for good music, never predictable and always intense, true, popular ...
The search for different languages, through the use of various languages, hides the goal that has always been mine, the direct and immediate communication of universal emotions.
Thanks to Antilabé for the wonderful journey into their sound and emotional world!"
Vittorio Matteucci
(singer and actor interpreter of many successful musicals - Notre dame de Paris, Tosca, I promessi Sposi, Dracula with the Premiata Forneria Marconi)

about

Antilabé Italy

Antilabé, strange word, but it's original. An ancient soldier, who fought in Sparta like Oplita, suggested this strange name:
the second grip of his shield was called "antilabé". The grip is no longer closed and aggressive, but open to the world: our music ranges between the melodies and harmonies of every time and place, no borders, sounds and words, universal instruments joined in time...
