about

Antilabé (from the greek lit: grip) a group born in search of sonorities without temporal without temporal or gegraphical bounderies, roving between melodies and harmonies that distinguish the universal spirit of our times. Words, free of meaning, at times invented, at times used as supporting sound, establish themselves in music, as is fleetingly held together in a fist: Antilabé!

A light breeze
or a distant echo?
Here they come closer:
they come from the lands
of the East,
in the Western seas
sails are setting...

Dust curls
or morning fog?
Here they come:
they carry
another language,
mouthing lost voices
that are near.

Beyond the wall is the land,
within the ranks
is the destiny's search,
strong does the song rise,
behind my shield...

about

Antilabé Italy

Antilabé, strange word, but it's original. An ancient soldier, who fought in Sparta like Oplita, suggested this strange name:
the second grip of his shield was called "antilabé". The grip is no longer closed and aggressive, but open to the world: our music ranges between the melodies and harmonies of every time and place, no borders, sounds and words, universal instruments joined in time...
